Life that you can read

- Benji Knewman

Inspired by Benji Knewman, a magazine I came across at Magculture, I've decided to learn to a few bookbinding techniques so that I can bind my own editorial.

I also really like how the spine is exposed here, used as another design feature as well as the cover.

I visited Shephard's bookbinders in Victoria for some supplies and found loads of inspiration from the handmade books and other binding techniques within.

Handmade sketchbooks and 'clampy clips' another binding idea.

Books hand kettle stitched and secured with PVA glue. I experimented with different numbers of signatures (the seperate booklets) and different paper weights.
