Binding
Spiral bound - allows for book to be laid flat and can fit lots of pages with different paper stocks/paper weights and tip-ins will be easy to achieve. However this would cut off some of the artworks and may not work large scale - best to create a spiral bound book smaller. Would be really nice to use blue plastic spiral rings and tie in with the rest of my blue works.
Perfect bound - clean, neat and lets the artwork take the focus, no distraction from the binding techniques as spiral bound could. However not sure this technique would work as well with textured and thicker papers. It could be a good idea to have a spiral bound 'scrapbook' style book with the original prints and then a perfect bound, glossy printed magazine-style publication to curate collected artworks.
Staple bound - simple, easy and gives a clean yet stylish feel, also allows the book to lie flat. However it could make the work look of lesser quality/cheapen the feel of the publication.
'Clampy clips'/ring bound - easy, cheap, effective, can fit lots of thicker pages in with texture - could include some fabric samples?
Typeface
Voltaire - NEW LETTERS foundry. Quite a nice emotional feel to this type, rounded edges and smooth serifs make body copy easy to read but titles also stand out nicely.
NEW LETTERS - Rasmus
Slightly less ornate this typeface gives a modern but delicate and roma

Bold type and textured, varied images with a well-structured grid to hold everything together.
Concept sketches for idea for 2 books for outcome of this project - rather than the book and the film. One book will be precisely designed with neat printing processes and the other will be a more messy book, ring bound so pages can lay flat and gives space for other materials to be added also. this will be the 'blue originals' [working title] whilst the bound book will be more of a document of the concept behind the work alongside my written text.
