sundial centre

Updated: Mar 6, 2019

I visited another of the Peabody centres this week - The Sundial centre in Bethnal Green. A classmate has been making a film about one of the classes there - the golden girls - who are a group of elderly ladies who get together once a week to knit babies clothes to sell for funds to go back into the centre. I really enjoyed visiting sundial - many of these people use the centre everyday and see it as a lifeline - it gives them a chance to get out of the house and socialise.

I had some really interesting conversations with people in the centre - the golden girls had so much to say about community and what it means to them, which is information I'd love to portray in my publication.

June showing me the labels they use whilst selling the baby clothes - "Every item is unique as we forget what we've made before!"

Leaflets I collected from the Sundial Centre. I love how 'friendly' the content of the leaflets are yet the design is so basic and structured. The accent Peabody blue ties the branding in well together also.
