storyboard, casting & locations

Storyboard

This storyboard showcases interior shots, beautiful shots of the city and abstract, curated shots of mundane scenes. We are hoping this will represent the intimacy and personality of city dwellers we want to convey in our film.

The storyboard shown here is an initial plan for shots, locations and lighting.

Casting

Cameron Williams, student age 20.

Locations

As the locations we need to shoot for our film are widespread and large in number, we decided to research various options for each to work around budget and suitability. The locations we decided that we would need are:

  • Interior of flat

  • Exterior of flat

  • Street scenes

  • Greasy spoon cafe/pub

  • Off licence

  • Parks

  • Wide shots – good views/aesthetic shots of London

As the interior ‘home’ for our character is really important, we decided to explore this first. Looking to Airbnb, we scouted a few suitable flats for the aesthetic we want to convey, also obviously taking in mind budget and availability for when we need to shoot.

A friend’s house on Camberwell Grove. The lighting and windows in this flat would be great for our scenes especially involving morning lighting and golden hour. The lived in, cluttered feel also helps to convey the relevant mood and tone of our film.

Further shown are explored options for other filming locations such as the greasy spoon cafe, off license and park scenes.
